Piper-Puppy

Holy mackerel–this summer reminds me of a movie rendition of a 5,000 page novel–everything ends up crammed into 120 minutes. So far I’ve crossed the country twice (once to CA and once to UT), and next week I’ll head West once more for my brother Nathan’s wedding. Two days ago I returned from two weeks in Louisville KY where I chilled with my brother and his two kiddos while sister-in-law awaits the arrival of baby #3 in Charleston SC. All in all–lots of busyness happening. Add to that the fact that yesterday we welcomed the most incredible blue-tick mix into our family yesterday!

Meet Piper–37.5 lbs. of pure dog heaven. She has the most amazing coat, and due to her size she feels like a permanent puppy. We found her at the Western PA humane society and it was love at first sight. We are thrilled to be a dog-family. We have now had her for an entire month (+ some-odd days–I’m updating because my original post was the lamest thing since the invention of the breakfast sandwich maker), and we are totally won over.

She reminds me of a vigilante. She takes justice into her own hands. Uh, I mean paws.

Seriously--love her coat.

Seriously–love her coat.

Aaaaaand this is how she sleeps. No kidding. She's...special.

Her anxiety is no joke...but the picture is pretty funny.

We call her Hyper-Piper-Super-Pooper. And I loves her.
